Product description
The AK Master Mount™ side rail is a unique, commercially available product that provides a reliable attachment point for AK optics without requiring any permanent modifications to the receiver. Our steel side rail quickly and easily attaches to milled or stamped AK receivers using existing hammer and trigger axis pin holes with our proprietary mounting pins. This eliminates the need for drilling, tapping, riveting, or gunsmithing.
Made in the USA, the side rail kit includes the side rail and all necessary mounting hardware.
The "No-Mod" Solution
The ideal placement for optics on any firearm is above the mid to rear section of the receiver to ensure proper eye relief and balanced handling. Due to the AK rifle's thin dust cover, a side rail is typically used as the attachment point for optic mounts.
Traditional AK side rails are attached by drilling holes in the receiver and using rivets to permanently secure them. However, if you're hesitant to modify your AK's receiver or lack access to a qualified gunsmith, our retrofit "no-mod" side rail is the ideal solution.
Easily Reversible
The AK Master Mount™ side rail quickly attaches to milled or stamped AK receivers using the existing hammer and trigger axis pin holes and the included proprietary mounting pins. This installation process takes approximately 15 minutes and requires no drilling, tapping, riveting, or gun-smithing.
No Permanent Modification
As our side rail does not require any permanent modifications to the receiver, it can be easily removed if desired, restoring the AK to its original factory condition. Additionally, our mounting pin design eliminates the need for the internal shepherd's crook retaining wire used for the original axis pins.
Gen 3 Version
Our latest Gen 3 version is 50% lighter than its predecessor and boasts a more aesthetically pleasing design that closely resembles a factory AK74 side rail. This new profile ensures full compatibility with AK rifles equipped with a triangle folder stock.
Rock Solid and Parallel to the Barrel
The AK Master Mount™ side rail is a low-profile, robust design that runs parallel to the barrel, ensuring compatibility with our AK Master Mount™ optic mounts and most other commercially available side rail optic mounts. In addition to standard AK-style clamping optic mounts, it features a central scalloped recessed area to accommodate SVD-style locking optic mounts (like the PK-01VS).
Please note: This is a "standard AK pattern" side rail and may not be compatible with SVD optic mounts that require a central groove channel for the stop pin.
No Other Side Rail Compares
Our patented AK Master Mount™ side rail continues to be the only commercially available product that offers a reliable and traditional side rail attachment point without requiring any permanent modifications to the AK receiver.
We will endeavour to despatch your package within 24 hours although at peak times this may take slightly longer. Orders for RIFs may take 48 hours as we test and chronograph each rifle before shipping.
Our couriers only deliver Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am and 6pm (0800 - 1800 hours) except for local and national holidays. We do not directly control the couriers and we cannot obtain a specific delivery time from them. Delivery may be delayed by extreme weather and events and again is out of our control and accept no liability for delays caused by this.

The cost of delivery will be added to your order total. You can select your preferred method of delivery from the options displayed at the checkout. Please select the correct option for your country to ensure that your order is not delayed.
We reserve the right to adjust shipping methods and costs but this is usually done in your favour and you will be informed by email.
