Product description
In the realm of firearms, FN, a renowned Belgian manufacturer, recognized the need for ammunition capable of surpassing NATO's stringent standards. In response, they unveiled the PDW "P90" in 1988, utilizing a revolutionary 5.7mm x 28 cartridge that boasted "rifle bullet-like penetration with high power and little recoil." The P90's debut in actual combat in 1997 garnered global attention, cementing its status as a formidable weapon.
The proliferation of Kevlar body armor, a material impervious to pistol rounds, rendered conventional submachine guns and handguns ineffective for protecting headquarters and rearguard personnel. To address this challenge, NATO initiated the "PDW (Personal Defence Weapon) Project," seeking a compact, lightweight weapon capable of penetrating body armor.
Tokyo Marui's latest iteration of their esteemed P90 design delivers a host of technical advancements, enhancing the user experience.
The "P-90 Plus," equipped with the advanced "PLUS system" and compatible with MS Li-Po batteries, marks the inaugural entry in the electric gun plus series. This specially engineered PLUS system (= FET circuit) safeguards operational integrity and optimizes trigger response during semi-automatic firing. Building upon the foundation of the P-90 series electric gun standard type, this upgraded model elevates operability to new heights.
Key Features:
Integrated FET Switch: The P-90 Plus employs a combined mechanical and FET switch. Compared to a conventional mechanical switch, the FET switch minimizes current loss at contact, resulting in a more responsive trigger pull and improved BB firing performance. Additionally, the switch's durability is significantly enhanced.
Striking Black Finish: The receiver is coated with a gloss-suppressing black paint, imparting a textured and substantial feel.
Realistic Selector Mechanism: The selector can be seamlessly operated with the trigger finger, enabling firing mode changes without compromising stance. Moreover, in full auto mode, transitioning between semi-auto and full auto is achieved by simply pulling the trigger.
Diverse Muzzle Options: Upon removing the new aluminum flash hider, a variety of muzzle options can be installed, including silencers compatible with the 14mm reverse screw specification (CCW) - the most prevalent thread size in airsoft.
PLUS System: The "PLUS system" comprises a microcomputer (MCU = microcontroller unit) that comprehensively monitors and controls FETs, batteries, and motors. Beyond regulating motor rotation, this system safeguards the weapon by detecting and halting operation in response to component damage or abnormalities.
Authentic Takedown Mechanism: The P-90 Plus can be disassembled into three components: the gearbox housing integrated with the grip and stock, the sight receiver and unified barrel, and the magazine. This mirrors the takedown procedure of the actual firearm.
Triple Mounting Rail: The sight receiver features three mounting rails, enabling the attachment of optional accessories, such as dot sights and flashlights compatible with 20mm wide picatinny or RIS mounting rails.
Realistic Transparent Magazine: A translucent magazine is included, holding 68 rounds and showcasing 5.7mm x 28 dummy cartridges.
